A Sunny Backyard
otto your not the boss
In a sunny backyard bright and gay, Otto ruled the land in his own way. He loved to command with a bark and a play. Friends gathered around to join the fun, knowing Otto's words were never done. Every day brought a new game to say.
1
Otto declared his rules out loud, feeling happy and very proud. He chose the games with his own sound. All the fun seemed like a story told in time, with each command set in a perfect rhyme. His voice rang clear like a bell so proud.
2
Rex the bearded dragon quietly observed the day. He saw Otto leading in his own way. Rex loved fun too, with a heart that cared, yet he felt left out and not always shared. His thoughts began to gently sway.
3
As the games played on under the warm sun, Rex felt a tug that could not be undone. Otto’s commands kept coming back one by one. The fun turned less bright when listening ceased, and all the happy notes seemed to be released. A change in the wind had begun.
4
The friends gathered to play a lively game, with Otto still leading all the same. But every rhyme had a twist in its frame. Rex tried to speak his mild worry aloud, but his gentle voice was lost in the crowd. The backyard echoed like a fun name.
5
In a corner of the yard where the cool shadows lay, Rex sighed softly at the end of the day. He wished for a change in the games they would play. His thoughts twirled in rhymes of hope and care, dreaming of moments when sharing was fair. In his heart, a new idea did sway.
6
With a brave heart that danced in the light, Rex stepped forward to set things right. In a voice steady and clear as day, he proclaimed in a joyful way, 'Otto, my friend, you’re not the boss today!' His words rang out in a friendly array. The air filled with a hopeful ray.
7
Otto was surprised and his ears did perk, as Rex’s words began to work. He paused while his thoughts began to twerk. The backyard grew silent with a thoughtful rhyme, as Otto realized it was time. His eyes opened wide in a reflective murk.
8
Under the shade of a friendly tree, Otto felt curious as he began to see. Was being bossy the only key? He wondered if sharing could bring more delight, and if a humble mind might truly be right. His thoughts danced like leaves set free.
9
Rex spoke kindly, in verses light and clear, 'Friends share and listen, let them cheer. When we work together, joy will appear.' His rhymes twirled around like a happy song, showing Otto that guiding all along need not be strong. In friendship, both can steer.
10
Otto listened and felt a warmth inside, his spirit changing like a rising tide. He understood now that ruling was not the best guide. Embracing Rex’s view with a smile so wide, he learned that sharing was not a place to hide. With open heart, he set his pride aside.
11
Now every game in the sunny yard felt fair and new, as friends joined in with joy so true. Otto and Rex played, each word a rhyming cue. The backyard sang with laughter and a shared plan, where every friend became a joyful fan. Together they discovered friendship is the best thing to do.
