The Little Mermaid Who Couldn't Swim

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Lily. Lily loved playing in the water more than anything. She would pretend to be a mermaid and splash around joyfully. One sunny day, Lily and her cousin went to the lake to swim. They giggled and played, splashing water everywhere.

While playing, Lily swam too far from the shore. Suddenly, she felt the water pulling her down. Lily panicked and started to sink. Her cousin noticed and quickly swam to her rescue. He pulled Lily back to safety, and she hugged him tightly, feeling grateful but scared.

After the incident, Lily was afraid of water. She missed playing in the lake and pretending to be a mermaid. Her cousin encouraged her to try again, reminding her how much she loved the water. Slowly, Lily started to dip her toes in the water, gaining confidence little by little. With each step, she felt braver and stronger.

One day, Lily took a deep breath and decided to swim again. She felt the cool water around her and remembered the fun she used to have. Lily laughed as she splashed around, feeling like a mermaid once more. She realized that facing her fears made her love the water even more. From that day on, Lily and her cousin enjoyed many happy days swimming together.
