The Dim Lantern
The Star-Gatherer’s Lantern
In the quiet village of Lumina, the stars twinkled more brightly than anywhere else. This was because of a magical lantern that absorbed the light of falling stars. The lantern was cared for by Miren, the Star-Gatherer. But one day, the lantern began to dim, and the village grew worried. Miren, too old to climb the Starry Peak, needed help to gather more starlight.

A brave child named Alina offered to help Miren. Alina had a secret: she could talk to the stars and believed they listened. Miren gave Alina a tiny shard of starlight for her journey. Alina set off, determined to save her village. She knew the path would be full of challenges, but her heart was full of courage.

Alina faced a mischievous wind that tried to blow her off course. She spoke kindly to it, and the wind decided to help her, lifting her higher. Next, a grumpy mountain spirit blocked her way. Alina showed compassion, and the spirit gave her a map of the peak. At a glowing river, she offered kindness, and it allowed her to cross, giving her glowing water for the lantern.

At the summit, Alina found the largest star ready to fall. She whispered, asking for its light to save her village. The star agreed, saying, 'Share my light with the world, and I will fill your lantern.' Alina promised, and the lantern shone brighter than ever. Back in the village, the lantern’s light spread, letting the stars be seen everywhere.
